Knowing (a little) of the End Before It Comes

Stock markets. Weather forecasts. Sports books. Horoscopes. College entrance scores. And kids trying to find their presents before Christmas. Our culture is obsessed with trying to know things before they happen. We want to know, because we want to be in control. But our God, who loves us as a perfect Father, reveals a great deal to us — and then keeps some things back for Himself. Can we learn to trust, to rest, and then to live out our purpose as a church here and now, as we depend on God to keep the things to come perfectly in His plan?
