Adult Discipleship
What is discipleship? There are many definitions, but it can be defined as "coming alongside one another to encourage worship of God by Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit in all things." In other words, discipleship is a process of being conformed to the image of Christ and learning to think, feel, and do God's thoughts and actions towards His world.
Followers of Jesus should always be asking questions such as, "how do I glorify God in my home, my community, and in my Job?" Discipleship is so much more than a program but it does require intentionality. A disciple can be defined as a mature equipped follower of Jesus Christ.
We have identified four areas of focus in discipleship
- Students of God's Word
- Servants of Christ & Neigbors
- Sowers of the Good News
- Stewards of Talents, Time, & Treasures
Discipleship happens in a lot of arenas including preaching, praying with and for one another, living life together, studying God's world, and serving together. To this end we are currently providing the following.
