Leadership
GPC is led by a group of Elders that include Brian Askelson, Mark Byers, Charles Gibson, Jim Lowrey, Scott Perkins, and Davy Stephenson (Pastor) whose charge is to feed, lead, and protect GPC through the "serving" of the Word. The Deacons are Ken Horn, Stephen Jackson, Keith McCullers, Bob McDaniel, and Dave Shaw and their charge is to serve the physical needs of GPC. We believe in team ministry and have the following folks leading various ministry areas.
- Staff: Monica McDaniel (Women's Ministry Director), Jeff Sauceda (Music Ministry Director) and Lynn Hartley (Administrative Director).
- Women's Leadership Team: Monica McDaniel, Dana Byers, Cindy McCullers, Beth Sears, and Kelly Stephenson.
- Children's Ministry Team: Denise Askelson, Lynn Hartley, Anita Jackson, Alyshia Murphy, Laura Sauceda, and Laura Shephard.
- Student Ministry Team: Davy Stephenson, Nina Halbert, Carrie Cooley, Bo & Nikki Bradbury, Ken Horn and Keith & Cindy McCullers.
- Mission Team: Charles Gibson, Don Sears, and Scott Perkins
- Worship Ministry Team: Jeff Sauceda, Connor McCullers, Evan Mumpower, Christopher Wren, Branson Horn, Eric Askelson, Laura Askelson, Ben Strout, Dave Shaw, Allen Perkins, and Bill Mumpower.
Here is some additional information on our Pastor/Teaching Elder Davy Stephenson.
Davy Stephenson is the pastor at Grace Presbyterian. Davy was born in Tennessee and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!). After graduating, he served as Director of Camp Westminster in in Georgia for 5 years while beginning to take seminary classes. He moved to Orlando in 2004 to complete his Master of Divinity with Reformed Theological Seminary. During this time, he served as Student Pastor at Cornerstone Community Church. After graduation, he was called to Briarwood Presbyterian Church to be a Church Planting Fellow and spent 18 months there before being called to the Chelsea area.
Davy met his wife, Kelly, while attending RTS in Orlando. Kelly is a native of Orlando and has her Master of Arts in Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary. They have two sons, Graham (in the pic at camp with Dad) and Hudson. They both love the area and are excited to be a part of extending God's kingdom!
