Pre-calculus

Course description: Pre-calculus is the math course following Algebra 2. Pre-calculus explores topics in algebra, trigonometry and geometry. Students should have basic knowledge of algebra principles and geometry. This course will provide students the opportunity to gain an appreciation for mathematical application and its utilization in real world situations.

Prerequisite: Algebra 2 & Geometry

Instructor: Eric Askelson is a senior at UAB in the Math Fast-Track program. He is a National Merit Scholar, a member of the Science and Technology Honors Program, and he continues to maintain a 4.00 GPA.

Credit Value: 1 credit

Homework Level: 4-5 hours per week.

Registration Fee: $50 nonrefundable (applies toward 1st semester tuition)

Tuition: $200 per semester

Building Use Fee: The annual building use for this class is $20 per student, not to exceed $100 per family. This fee is payable to Grace Presbyterian Chelsea on the first day of class.

Class Minimum: Minimum of 5 students. If the class minimum is not reached, class will be cancelled and registration fee refunded. A maximum of 15 students will be accepted.
