Spanish I Course description: Spanish 1 is designed to be a first-year high school language course that introduces the basics of the Spanish language. The focus will be on understanding and practical application as students learn greetings, basic vocabulary, pronunciation, grammatical structures and preliminary verb conjugations. Students who take this course will develop a beginning reading and conversational ability that will lay the foundation for further study of the language.
Spanish II Course description: Spanish 2 builds on foundations learned in Spanish 1. Students will learn to communicate in everyday situations and in a variety of settings. The course covers grammatical principles including reflexive verbs, direct and indirect objects, and preterit and imperfect tenses. Listening, reading, writing, and pronunciation are practiced through a variety of exercises. Cultural enrichment and scripture memorization are a part of this curriculum.

Instructor: Mrs. Chris Marshall. Mrs. Marshall has 25 years homeschooling experience. She has taught Spanish I, II, and III in Savannah, Georgia, in a home school cooperative setting for the past 4 years and has worked as a contracted private tutor for public, private and homeschooled students. She draws greatly on her experience as a missionary in the Latin American countries of the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Costa Rica and Chile. She is married and has 6 children.

Spanish II - 3:15 - 4:30
Grade Level: 9th - 12th grades
Credit Value: 1 credit
Homework Level: 2-3 hours per week
Registration Fee: $50 nonrefundable (applies toward 1st semester tuition)
Tuition: $200 per semester (or $40 per month August - May)
Supply Fee: $10 per student

Building Use Fee: The annual building use fee is $50 fee per student per class, not to exceed $100 per family. This fee is payable to Grace Presbyterian Chelsea on the first day of class.
Class Minimum: Minimum of 5 students per class. If class minimum is not reached, class will be cancelled and registration fee refunded.
