Grades K-1
Classroom Learning for the Kindergarten and 1st Grade Student
Course description: This class will provide an opportunity for kindergarten and 1st grade students to be in a classroom setting. Class time will be spent on pre-reading exercises: listening to the sounds contained in individual words, writing the alphabet , and learning about the various phonetic sounds made by letters. Students will also participate in auditory exercises designed to improve listening skills and memory. Students will also encounter science through experiments and have a daily Bible story and prayer.
Like all great classes, students will have time to listen to books being read aloud and will participate in game-type learning activities.
This class is designed for the non-reader or beginning reader and will support you as you teach your child to read.
