Camp FAQs

How do I register my camper? You can download a Registration Form and return by email to admin@gracechelsea.org or by mail to 109 Foothills Parkway, Chelsea AL 35043. You can also register online.

How much does it cost? For campers staying overnight the cost is $50. For day campers the cost is $35 for Friday and Saturday. You can pay by cash, check (payable to Grace Chelsea), debit, or credit card (online).

What other forms will I need to complete? Each camper and staff must complete and return a Release & Health Form.

What are the ages of the camp? The camp is for ages 3-11. Only campers ages 5 and older have the option of staying overnight.

What are the activities? The activities will include games, sports, swimming, canoeing, crafts, archery, and more.

Will there be a Bible study? Yes, there will be 4 vesper times that include singing, skits, and teaching children to build their lives on the Rock of Christ!

What is the camper to counselor ratio? There will be a minimum of 1 staff to 7 campers ratio in addtion to many jr. helpers (ages 14-18). Your child will be supervised by an adult (18+ ) at all times.

How are camp counselors chosen? Each counselor is chosen for their committment to Christ and love for children. Each counselor submits an application including references and background checks.

What are the dropoff and pickup times for day campers? Dropoff will be at 10 AM and pickup wil be at 8 PM.

What will my child eat? Meals will be provided the dining services of Hargis Retreat.

Where will my child stay? Campers will be housed in A-Frame Lodge at Hargis Retreat. Most rooms will have 6 campers and 2 counselors.

Will there be certified lifeguards? Yes, Hargis Retreat will provide American Red Cross certified lifeguards.
